Starting a few weeks we are going to publish some of the local rules for Country Meadows Golf Course when they are officially approved.
MATCH PLAY GUIDELINES
Players must have an established Handicap.
Handicaps will be updated each round.
A match will be based on handicap at 100%.
Example: 12 handicapper playing a
16 handicapper – the 16 will receive 4 strokes.
A stroke per handicap holes 1 to 4 as indicated on Score card.
(To a maximum of 18 strokes when played at Country Meadows Golf Course.)
In Match Play the game is played by holes. (Number of holes Won)
A match being 18 holes.
The lower net strokes of the hole being the winner of the hole.
Scoring Match Play – Plus / Minus / Even.
The reckoning of holes is kept by the terms: so many “Holes Up”
or “All Square” and so many “To Play”
A player is “Dormie” when he is down as many holes as there are holes remaining to be played.
A hole is Halved if each player holes out in the same number of net strokes.
A player may concede a Putt or a Hole or a Match at anytime.
If at the end of 18 holes the match is Tied, Players will go to the Putting Green,
select a spot 20 feet from the 1st hole and continue Putting hole by hole until
the Tie is broken.
A player unable to play the match on the date scheduled and cannot arrange to
have the match played prior to the next round will forfeit the match.
Any ruling in a Match that cannot be dealt with by the players will go to the Rules
Committee, Their Ruling to be Final.
NOTE: Score Card are to be entered into the Computer.
Match Play Players are not eligible for Low Gross or Low Net.
On conceded holes a player must enter most likely score for that hole
no need to putt out.
